Channel Analyzer
A Windows utility for exporting the video records and available performance information from a YouTube channel into files useful for reporting, reference and our companion applications.
What it does
- Retrieves video titles, IDs, descriptions, dates and available statistics through Google's YouTube APIs.
- Requests original uploaded filenames for videos where YouTube still makes that information available to the owner.
- Exports
all_videos.csv,video_performance.csvand a relatedexport_manifest.json. - Produces files used by Next Video Advisor and File Name Discoverer.
Google account authorization
Channel Analyzer uses Google OAuth to request access to YouTube channel information and analytics. The existing version requires the creator to configure an OAuth desktop client in their own Google Cloud project. A simpler sign-in option is under consideration, but it is not currently offered.
Its intended read-only scopes are youtube.readonly and yt-analytics.readonly. The sign-in and permission approval occur through Google's own authorization pages, not a password form on this website.
See our privacy policy for information on API data and local credentials.
Availability and limitations
Some historical upload filenames and statistics may not be returned by YouTube. Exports depend on account permissions, API availability and Google quota restrictions. No software can guarantee recovery of missing original filenames.
